The clock mechanism which was made by James W Benson of Ludgate Hill, London, in 1869.

The clock was overhauled and relocated during the augmentation of the bells in 2001. It is now operated by an automated electric winding mechanism and in 2014 was fitted with an electronic regulator supplied by Richard White Clocks of Smeeton Westerby, Leicester.
